Fire hits Lorega, Cebu City

CEBU CITY (Updated) -- Another fire hit Cebu, this time in Barangay Lorega, this city.

Firefighters rushed to the scene after the Cebu City Fire Department received the alarm at 4:57 p.m. Tuesday.

A number of houses made of light materials have been damaged by the fire, which affected at least four sitios in the village, according to radio reports.

Firefighters raised the alarm to Task Force Alpha, the alert level before a general alarm. The fire, however, was placed under control at 7:26 p.m., almost three hours after it broke out.
