Magnitude 5.4 earthquake rattles Ilocos Norte

THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) recorded Monday a 5.4-magnitude earth quake north of Ilocos Norte province.

Phivolcs said the quake, which is tectonic in origin, hit 169 kilometers northwest of Burgos, Ilocos Norte at 8:43 a.m.

Intensity II was felt in Laoag City, the province's capital.

No one was reported injured. (Sunnex)
