Pagasa: Warm, humid weather in PH-A A +A
Wednesday, April 30, 2014
MANILA -- Warmer and humid weather will prevail in most parts of the country on Wednesday as the high pressure area (HPA) and easterlies or warm air continue to be the dominant weather systems affecting the country.
Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather forecaster Gladys Saludes said Luzon is experiencing a heat surge due to the ridge of a high pressure area prevailing over the northern part of the region.
A high-pressure area brings dry and warm winds.
Saludes said that aside from possible afternoon or evening rains due to localized thunderstorms or convections, the whole country will continue to experience sunny to partly cloudy skies.
The forecaster, however, added that isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms may occur in the afternoon or evening.
Pagasa said no cyclone is expected to enter the country until Sunday. (PNA/Sunnex)
