MANILA -- The Sandiganbayan has allowed former President and now Pampanga (2nd District) Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to be brought to the St. Lukes' Medical Center in Quezon City to undergo some medical tests.
According to Atty. Medesto Ticman, legal counsel of Mrs. Arroyo, they would like the medical tests to be done Saturday, however, the Sandiganbayan learned that the medical examinations cannot be performed Saturday.
Hence, the medical check-up will be done Friday.
Likewise, the Sandiganbayan immediately ordered the Philippine National Police (PNP) to prepare a security plan for the former president.
The Pampanga lawmaker will undergo urodynamic test, which is not available at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) in Quezon City.
Mrs. Arroyo is currently under hospital arrest for the case of plunder in connection with the alleged misuse of P366-million confidential intelligence funds of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).(PNA)
