4 killed as truck falls into ravine in Laguna

MANILA -- Four construction workers died while six others were injured when their truck fell into a ravine in Majayjay town in Laguna on Friday.

Laguna police chief Senior Superintendent Romulo Sapitula said two of the fatalities died on the spot while the two others died at the hospital.

Sapitula said the truck's driver, Domingo Arsolazo, was among those injured.

The police officer said the incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. at the vicinity of Dalitiwan Spring resort in Ilayang Banga village.

Sapitula said the Arsolazo lost control of the truck and fell into an eight-feet ravine.

He said people in the area claimed that the truck was running at high speed when the incident occurred. (VR/Sunnex)
