The Airbus A340-600 landed safely at its destination, Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport, according to airline President Jarumporn Chotikasathein.

Ebola doctor: Media, politicians fueled the public's fear

NEW YORK -- A doctor who contracted the deadly Ebola virus but rode the subway system and dined out before he recovered from it said the media and politicians could have done a better job by educating people on the science of it instead of focusing on their fears.

Dr. Craig Spencer, an emergency room physician, was diagnosed with Ebola on October 23, days after returning from treating patients in Guinea with Doctors Without Borders. His was the first Ebola case in the nation's largest city, spurring an effort to contain anxieties along with the virus.

Civilian returns SAF bulletproof vest

Policemen sacked over alleged Revilla-Enrile meeting

A POLICE official was sacked on Thursday for allegedly allowing Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. to leave detention and join the 91st birthday celebration of fellow pork barrel scam accused Senator Juan Ponce Enrile on February 14.

Revilla and Enrile are both held at the Philippine National Police headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City over plunder and graft cases for alleged misuse of Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF).
