AUTHORITIES seized more than P25-million worth of suspected illegal drugs from two Chinese nationals in a buy-bust operation on Sunday evening in Quezon City.

Personnel of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Group (DAID-SOTG) conducted the operation at 11:55 p.m. along Regalado Street in North Fairview in Quezon City.

DAID-SOTG Chief Roberto Razon said the arrested suspects were identified as Benson Lao and Benedict Ong, both native of Hung Nam, China but presently residing in Bulacan and Manila, respectively.

Seized from the two Chinese men were one kilogram of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) worth P1.5 million sold to a police police poseur buyer, and four kilograms worth P25 million recovered inside a bag placed at the back of the passenger seat of the suspects’ silver Toyota Vios.

Lao and Ong were brought to the Camp Karingal.
