THE College Admissions Mentors for Peers (Camp) Philippines will hold its 2nd annual Camp Conference on August 9 at Xavier School in Greenhills.

Endorsed by the Commission on Higher Education, and supported by both local and international youth and education organizations like Edukasyon.ph, EducationUSA, and the National Youth Commission, among others, the conference looks to give the necessary support and opportunities to high school students interested in studying abroad.

There will be several workshops and sessions aimed at preparing students for the application process and to adjusting to life in another country.

The conference will feature three keynote speakers: Philippines Senator Sonny Angara, CEO of IdeaSpace Earl Valencia, and Chief Strategic Resources Officer of Teach for the Philippines Patricia Feria.

The conference also includes an international college fair where several representatives from prominent international universities such as Harvard University, Stanford University, Cambridge University, and University of British Coumbia, among others, will also be present.

Registration is now open, and interested high school students, parents, and teachers can register now at http://www.campphilippines.org/registration/.

Camp Philippines is a student-run organization that provides and expands international education opportunities for young Filipino students. Its main program is its mentorship program, which pairs Filipino students in international universities with local high school students who want to study abroad.

In the recent years, Camp has also added several new programs like the Study Abroad Conference and its Summer Internship Program.
