THE camp of Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin "Junjun" Binay asked on Wednesday the Senate blue ribbon committee to stop its probe on the alleged overpriced Makati City Hall Building 2.
Binay through his counsel, Claro Certeza, filed a manifestation asking Senator Teofisto Guingona III, chairperson of the Senate blue ribbon committee, to intervene and cause the suspension of the ongoing probe by the subcommittee on the multi-billion peso government building.

THE Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) suspended eight firearms dealers on Wednesday after they failed to account a total of 116 imported firearms.
Interior and Local Secretary Manuel Roxas II said that during the inventory of high-powered firearms in March following the reports on missing AK-47 rifles, it was discovered that 105 units of calibre 5.56 firearms and 11 units of calibre 7.62 firearms were unaccounted.
