MANILA -- Typhoon Jose exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Thursday morning, but will continue to bring rains in some parts of the country.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Jose has slowed down and is moving toward Japan at 11 kilometers per hour (kph).

The typhoon, however, continues to enhance the southwest monsoon, bringing rains over the Ilocos region and Batanes, including the Calayan Group of Islands.

Pagasa said that as of 10 a.m. Thursday, Jose was located at 1,020 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
