BIR collects P119.9B in July-A A +A

THE Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has collected P119.94 billion in tax revenues in July this year, exceeding its collection target for the month.
In a statement released on Thursday, the Department of Finance (DOF) said the July collections were higher by P19.84 billion or 19.82 percent than a year ago level.
It also surpassed the goal set for July this year by P58.52 million or 0.05 percent.
For July 2014, collections from BIR operations amounted to P115.45 billion, P20.51 billion or 21.61 percent more than collections made in July 2013. Said collection exceeded the goal set for July 2014 by P2.06 billion or 1.81 percent.
Collections from non-BIR operations amounted to P4.49 billion, P668.87 million or or 12.97 percent less than the collections made in July last year. This is also P2 billion or 30.80 percent short of the goal set for July 2014.
Collections by the Regional Offices amounted to P37.92 billion, or P4.98 billion or 15.12 percent more than the collections made a year ago, short of July 2014 goal by P1.95 billion or 4.89 percent. While collections by the Large Taxpayers Service amounted to P77.54 billion, or P15.53 billion or 25.05 percent more than the collections made in July 2013, exceeding its goal by P2.44 billion or 3.25 percent.
