Henry Sy still Philippines’ richest

MANILA – Business tycoon Henry Sy has remained the country's richest man for seven consecutive years, according to Forbes magazine's The Philippines 50 Richest List for 2014.

Forbes' ranking on Thursday showed the 89-year-old Sy has a net worth of $12.7 billion, which is higher than his $9.3 net worth in 2013.

Sy owns SM Prime Holdings, the country’s largest mall operator, and Banco de Oro, the country’s largest bank in terms of assets.
