DALIAH Guerrero Pastor, who is implicated in the murder of her husband, racing champion Ferdinand "Enzo" Pastor, has not escaped to Malaysia, Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said Thursday.
She said the Bureau of Immigration (BI) informed her that Daliah is still in the country, contrary to a newspaper report.
According to the report, Daliah took a chartered flight from Manila to Tawi-Tawi, where she boarded a speedboat that brought her to Malaysia.
"Based on their data as of Wednesday, no such record of departure. But they (BI) are further confirming," de Lima said.
It was also the same information relayed to the justice chief by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP).
De Lima said authorities can still monitor Daliah's travel as long as she did not use a different name.
Daliah is facing parricide and frustrated murder charges at the Department of Justice (DOJ). She allegedly conspired with rumored lover, detained businessman Domingo de Guzman III, to kill Pastor.
Pastor was shot to death by confessed gunman Police Officer 2 Edgar Angel in a Quezon City highway on June 12. (Sunnex)
