YOKOHAMA, Japan – President Benigno Aquino III met United States President Barack Obama here where they discussed on the issuance of travel advisories against the Philippines.
In an ambush interview, Aquino said Obama promised to look into the request of the Philippines to downgrade the travel warnings.
He cited that he was able to talk to Obama but not through a bilateral meeting.
“Nagkaroon lang kami ng pagkakataon para magkaliwanagan,” he said, adding that he also had a discussion with Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper on the issue.
