1,684 pass August 2012 Physician board exam
Friday, August 31, 2012 - 08:22 p.m.THE Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Friday that 1,684 out of 2,137 passed the August 2012 Physician board examination.
The Physician (Complete, Finals with Prelims and Finals) Licensure Examination was given by the Board of Medicine in the cities of Manila, Cebu and Davao this August 2012.
Low pressure area spotted in Mindanao

But Pagasa weather forecaster was quick to say that the LPA still did not pose any threat since it was still too far from the country as of Friday afternoon.

Herminia Miones, Don Salvador Mandaya tribal chieftain, said the landslide happened in Sitio Bangol where about 7,000 small-scale miners are operating.

Friday, August 31, 2012 - 02:37 p.m.MANILA (Updated 2:35 p.m.) -- The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) disproved claims that the ill-fated plane boarded by Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo was not cleared for chartered flight and that the pilot's licenses were expired.
Caap director general William Hotchkiss III said based on their Civil Aviation Safety Oversight Reporting and Tracking System (Casort) database, the Piper Seneca plane that carried Robredo and was piloted by Captain Jessup Bahinting has an air taxi license valid until November 14, 2012.

In the statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) provided by the Supreme Court Public Information Office, Sereno's net worth last year was at P17,985,375.51, slightly lower than the P18,029,575 earlier tipped to reporters.
Train operator in LRT suicide incident faces charges

In a phone interview, the Pasay Police Investigation Division confirmed that charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide have been filed against Anthony Gunay, 35, operator of the LRT train.
