MANILA -- Concurrence with a grant of amnesty for Magdalo soldiers charged for participating in mutinies against the government was approved on the committee level Tuesday.
Senator Teofisto Guingona III, chairman of the Senate Committee on Peace, Unification, and Reconciliation, said he hoped to present his committee report to the Senate floor this afternoon.
He said although Christmas is only 18 days away, there is still a chance that Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and other Magdalo members could spend the holidays in their homes. (Jonathan de Santos/Sunnex)
