MANILA -- Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. hinted Friday that he is willing to compromise on the issue of burying his father at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City.

He said his father, former President Ferdinand Marcos, deserves to be buried there as a former chief executive.

But the younger Marcos said he and his family do not want "to add to the numerous problems besetting President (Benigno) Aquino III’s administration and I am sure the President himself feels likewise".

He added the Marcoses are willing to "explore any reasonable compromise" to give the former President a state burial.
