MANILA -- More families were evacuated as Sorsogon's Mount Bulusan continues to spew ashes Sunday morning.

Philippine National Police spokesperson Agrimero Cruz Jr. said more than 500 persons from five villages in Irosin town were housed to Gallanosa High School in the town proper.

In the municipality of Juban, more than 200 residents run for safety due to heavy ash fall.

The national highway is temporarily impassable due to poor visibility, preventing Visayas-bound buses to pursue their respective destination.(Glaiza Jarloc/Sunnex)
