Negros Oriental guv dies of stomach cancer

NEGROS Oriental Governor Agustin Perdices succumbed to stomach cancer Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Bombo Radyo report, Perdices died in St. Luke's Global. He was 76.

It was just on November that Perdices told her constituents about his situation.

His doctor had recommended him to undergo 12 chemotherapy sessions but it was just his seventh session on Monday before he died on Wednesday.

Before serving as governor replacing Governor Emilio Macias II who died on June 13, 2010, Perdices served as Dumaguete City mayor for 19 years. (Sunnex)
