MANILA -- The Palace hit the New People’s Army (NPA) for claiming that Tuesday's Samar ambush, leading to the death of 10 soldiers and a nine-year-old boy, was a legitimate act of war.
“We certainly disagree kasi hindi ko alam kung san parte ng mundo ka pupunta at sasabihin mo na legitimate act of war kung may namatay na nine-year-old na bata,” said Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte.
The Samar incident happened two days before the 18-day truce of the government and the rebels.
