MANILA - Malacanang lauded Sunday the reconsideration of France on its travel ban advisory against the Philippines.
“The modification by France is a welcome development,” said deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte.
The modified advisory dropped the reference to the risk of terrorist attack in the country.
“We have already said in the past that the basis (of travel advisory) was not solid,” she noted.
“We have made efforts to talk to the countries involved through the diplomatic channels for them to modify or withdraw the advisories,” she added.(Jill Beltran/Sunnex)
