Pangasinense cyclists rule Isagani Nerez cycling tour (5:45 p.m.)
LINGAYEN — True to the theme “Upholding Pangasinan’s Excellence,” Pangasinense cyclists dominated the PD Isagani Nerez Cycling Classic last Sunday with 10 of them landing at the top 10 finishers.
It was a hairline victory for Ericson Obosa of Manaoag, who finished the 255-kilometer race distance with a record of seven hours and 17 seconds. He collected P20,000 in cash and a trophy for winning the tournament.
Elmos Ramos of Binalonan came second and received P15,000 in cash and a trophy followed by Sherwin Carrera of San Fabian who got P10,000 in cash and a trophy.
Renato Sembrano of Mangaldan was in fourth place while Reynaldo Navarro of San Jacinto was at fifth. They received P5,000 and P3,000 in cash, respectively.
Completing the top 10 finishers are Enrique Domingo of San Carlos City, Baler Ravena of Asingay, Ariel Flores of Mangaldan, Santi Barnache of Umingan and Nilo Estayo of Pozorrubio. They received P2,000 in cash each. (LCMY/Sunnex)
