Davao: Rebels ask campaign fees from barangay, SK bets (9:20 p.m.)
DAVAO–Police Regional Office 11 Director Andres Caro III said it has received reports of alleged pay-offs between the New People’s Army and some aspirants of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
Caro, however, maintains it is prepared for the conduct of the polls on Monday next week.
Reports gathered by Sun.Star Davao showed that the insurgency movement has been demanding at least P5,000 from barangay candidates and at least P3,000 each from SK bets. (CPM of Sun.star Davao)
