BACOLOD CITY — Following the award given to the City of Bacolod as “Most Business-Friendly City” in the country by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, local businessmen in Bacolod are now expecting more investments to come soon.
James Chua, president of Bacolod-Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, expressed gratitude over the recent award given by PCCI to Bacolod City.
PCCI picked Bacolod among 13 other city-contenders from the National Capital Region, Luzon, and Mindanao.
“The business community is very happy with the recognition given by PCCI to Bacolod,” he said, adding that the award means more investments and businesses for Bacolod.
The award, Chua said, would help boost the economy as investors will be encouraged to come to the city instead of investing in other neighboring provinces such as Iloilo.
“Together with the City of Bacolod, we are happy and proud of the award given to our beloved City,” he added. (Sun.Star Bacolod)
