DUMAGUETE–President Gloria Macapaga-Arroyo will be arriving in Dumaguete City to keynote the first local government finance conference on October 29, 2007.
Negros Oriental once again beams with pride as it hosts the first international conference on local government finance on October 29-30, 2007 at the Negros Oriental Convention Center, Dumaguete City.
More than 500 delegates, who are governors, assessors, and mayors coming from places all over the country, will be welcomed by Negros Oriental Governor Emilio C. Macias II and Deputy Head of Mission-German Embassy Manila Pit Heltmann.
Among the noted personalities to talk during the conference are Finance Secretary Margarito B. Teves, Congressman (2nd District) George P. Arnaiz, Tanzania TRA Dar es Saalam Commissioner General Harry Kitillya, Local German Development Cooperation (GTZ) Team Leader Ernst-Dieter Fuchs, GTZ Manila Program Manager Dr. Herwig Mayer, and Chief IT Consultant Jürgen Seelmann.
