Iloilo: Case v. pa of slain SK leader mulled (1:19 p.m.)
ILOILO CITY — The Iloilo Provincial Police Office (IPPO) and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) plans to sue Lambunao Vice Mayor Pancho Catedral, father of slain Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Chairperson Bonna Marie, for allegedly refusing to cooperate with police authorities in solving the case.
The IPPO and the CIDG said if it were to file a case, it would be Obstruction of Justice against Catedral for prohibiting the cops to take her daughter’s cadaver for a paraffin test.
The elder Catedral declined the request of the CIDG that her daughter’s body and the rest of the family members undergo a paraffin test.
The said agency asked for the same test after finding indications of a foul play on the death of Bona Marie. (Ruby P. Silubrico of Sun.Star Iloilo)
