Ex-Wowowee host clears ‘expulsion’ issue (4:05 p.m.)
MANILA — TV host Precious Lara Quigaman finally broke her silence on her removal from the ABS-CBN afternoon show "Wowowee" after their Hawaii visit.
Lara said she was upset with so many false and misleading write-ups about what happened in their show in Hawaii and the true reason why she was pulled out from the noontime show.
"Many articles said I am only with my boyfriend but the truth was I am with my mom also it’s my mother’s day gift to her so I don’t know why (people are saying such)," she clarified in her exclusive TV interview last Sunday.
Prior to Lara’s interview, her mother had a message where she said she was guilty about her daughter’s consequence of bringing her along.
But for Lara she said: "I don’t think so (mother should be guilty), coz everything is made to happen."
"Don’t worry ma, it’s not the effect of it. So don’t be sad about that," she added.
Directly asked if she was fired or she resigned, Lara said: "I was pulled out or maybe axed is the term. Kuya Willy (Willie Revillame) got mad. Because there is allegedly a rule that we were not allowed of bringing boyfriend which was very unclear to me I did not know, I was not told very clearly, the only time I was told was more like a joke."
The host likewise dismissed issues that her work was affected by the presence of her boyfriend.
"There is no rule to me. I did not understand that and I knew also that if I was to bring my boyfriend and my mom, my work should not be affected which is what happened," she said.
"I am sure that the people in Hawaii can attest to it. I did not compromise my work. I was never late I was never absent for any rehearsal for any TV guestings for the show itself I gave my best. So, I was really hurt for the reason (expulsion) I brought my boyfriend and my mom along," she lamented.
According to Boy Abunda, rule on bringing boyfriends is not a company policy of ABS-CBN but every show has its house rule. (JRDB/Sunnex)
we are not watching Willie anymore… though he is representing ABS CBN which is ABS CBN is the good one.. Willie is only a host and he is not real– we can see while watching– he full of drama… it’s just we dont have a choice what to watch…Willie should start to be humble… for REAL [so dramatic in this show .. we.. from TFC knows about that… so please.. be humble for the sake of TFC …ABS CBN..
I like Abs-CBN and Wowowee is such an enjoyable show but unfortunately it makes me sad when I hear bad things uttered by host willie Revillame. He is arrogant. His side comments to wowowee girls are demeaning.These girls need to be respected. Bastos na host si Willie. I hope the management sees that. Randy Santiago is a good replacement. I know willy has a good heart as can be seen from the wah he gives out money to contestants but the show is not only about that…it is more than that. I hope he sees that. Children are watching…his side comments are picked up by kids…I hope ABS will wake up that Willie Revillame is not indespensable host…I will pray God will provide you with a good host na may puso sa mga babae…
it’s so sad Lara was not in wowowie anymore. i think willie is just jealous bec. its obvious he really like Lara and he got mad bec. Lara brought her nobyo in Hawaii. Willie thinks that he’s famous and all women will fall in love to him here’s the bad news willie. i don’t find you attractive and you’re bastos and mayabang. like the way you make joke to anna feliciano and pokwang it’s over the edge. i hope they can find a better host on that show. i don’t watch the show anymore. and also about those parents who have more chlidren he always make comments on them why bring a lot of kids in this world if you’re mahirap.ang di niya alam.. maybe those people are more happier than him.
