‘Frank’ kills 52 (10:41 a.m.)
MANILA — The National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) said it has accounted 52 dead due to typhoon Frank.
As of early Monday morning, NDCC executive officer Glenn Rabonza said 39 were injured and 85 others were missing.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) reported 163 deaths, and over 336 missing and 36 injured.
Rabonza said at least 14,000 families or 70,000 persons have been displaced by the typhoon throughout the country.
They are housed in at least 242 evacuation centers where their needs are being attended to by relief workers. (VR/Sunnex)
