DOTC official blames Sulpicio for sea mishap (12 p.m.)
MANILA - An official of the Department of Transportation and Communications (DoTC) said Sulpicio Lines, owner of M/V Princess of the Star that capsized Saturday morning in Sibuyan Island, Romblon has the sole responsibility on the recent tragedy.
“Definitely Sulpicio Lines is responsible here,” said DOTC undersecretary for Maritime Elena “Len” Bautista.
Bautista said it is clear that when the vessel left Manila, the ship’s master mariner was informed that Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) already placed a signal no.1 alert on their destination.
Bautista also explained that during signal no. 1, it is the ship owner’s discretion on whether to push through with the voyage or not.
This, she said, was agreed during a public hearing. (MSN/Sunnex)

No matter who take the responsibility, the fact that they can’t bring back the lives of those victims. Money is not enough.
JUSTICE for the VICTIMS!!!
