NDCC: 117 dead after ‘Frank’ (11:30 a.m.)
THE National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) announced on Tuesday morning that the death toll brought about by typhoon Frank has already reached 117.
One hundred eleven are already confirmed by body count out of the 117.
One hundred thirty-nine are reported injured and 44 people were declared missing in 12 typhoon-hit regions, the NDCC reported.
People affected by the typhoon in 38 provinces around the Philippines, has almost reached a million and over 100,000 houses were destroyed.
The agency is confronting the challenge of bringing aid to the families affected by the typhoon, said Glenn Rabonza, NDCC executive director.(Sunnex)
