Bodies of Princess victims to be brought to Cebu (10:47 a.m.)
MANILA — The bodies of the fatalities of the sunken MV Princess of the Stars will be brought to Cebu.
Anthony Golez Jr., National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) deputy administrator said many victims of the sinking are from Cebu thus Sulpicio Lines, owner of the ill-fated ship, agreed to the arrangement.
The victims’ relatives will also be housed in Cebu city and will be taken cared of until they claim the bodies of their kin, Golez added.
Golez has relayed the recent arrangement to President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in a video conference Wednesday.
Cebu officials have earlier requested for the bodies to be take to Cebu. (Sunnex)
