Landslide kills 3 in southern Cebu (9 a.m.)
CEBU CITY — Three people died and another was reported missing when a landslide hit a residential area in Samboan, Cebu Sunday night.
According to reports reaching the town’s police office, the landslide happened Sunday night after heavy rains hit Cebu province the whole day.
Samboan Acting Police Chief Dominador Perolino said two of the three fatalities were children — Nathaniel and Errol Cañete. Perolino identified the other fatality as Florence Galla.
Perolino said Edwin Galla Jr., has remained missing as of this posting (Monday morning) while the six others who were injured were rushed to the nearby hospital.(Sunnex)
