DAVAO CITY — A government transport plane that left Davao airport Monday night for Iloilo City was reported missing Tuesday.
An Air Force C-130 with nine crew left Davao City past 8 p.m. to pick up some personnel of the Presidential Security Group in Iloilo City. The plane was supposed to arrive in Iloilo City at 10 p.m.
The aircraft lost contact two minutes after takeoff.
Air Force chief Lt. Gen. Pedrito Cadungog said everything was normal with the plane until communication was cut off.
The PAF’s operations center is now tracking down the aircraft’s location through its flight plan in coordination with other government forces. (With reports Froilan Gallardo of Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro)
