Bizman forced out of home; files complaint (1:54 p.m.)

MANILA — A businessman has filed a complaint before the Makati police department against his father, a former town mayor in Bulacan, and his bodyguards for allegedly mauling and throwing him out of their home in Makati City, police said.

Ricardo Silverio Jr. filed the complaint Wednesday night against his father, former San Rafael mayor Ricardo Silverio Sr., and the latter’s bodyguards following the incident at the Silverios’ house in Urdaneta Village, said Makati police Criminal Investigation Division chief Supt. Manuel Santos.

Initial investigation conducted by the Makati police showed that at around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, the younger Silverio forced his way inside the house and refused to leave.

He was then reportedly kicked out of the house by his father, former owner of Delta Motors, investigators said.

The incident was a result of a property dispute on the Silverio house located at 21 Urdaneta corner Cruzada streets, Santos said.

Santos said Silverio Jr.’s complaint against his father for grave coercion, physical injuries and threats have been logged on a police blotter.

The younger Silverio according to the police official has yet to give a medico-legal report and to formalize his complaint. (AH/Sunnex)
