Biscuit snack positive for melamine (4 p.m.)
ONE more China-made milk product has been found positive for melamine contamination, the Bureau of Food and Drugs (BFAD) reported Wednesday.
Out of the 35 products tested on Wednesday, BFAD said 34 products were found negative for traces of melamine while one, identified as LOTTE Strawberry Snack KOALA Biscuit, contains the toxic element that sickened over 50,000 infants and children in China.
The latest report brings to four the Chinese-made milk products positive for melamine. The other three melamine-contaminated products include Jollycow Slender High Calcium Low Fat Milk (more calcium & Vitamin D), 1 liter; Greenfood Yili Fresh Milk; and Mengniu Drink. (MSN/Sunnex)
