MSU budget officer freed (2:26 p.m.)
THE budget officer of the Mindanao State University in Marawi City on Monday was released by his captors in Saguiaran town in Lanao del Sur, the head of the Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao Regional Police Office reported Tuesday.
Chief Superintendent Bensali Jabarani said Hipolito Minoza was freed by his captors around 4:40 p.m. to Marawi City Mayor Panorigan Salic in the remote village of Kadilinga.
“The release was due to the pressure made by the pursuing elements of the Lanao del Sur police provincial office and 103rd Brigade (of the Army) and the negotiation made by the Crisis Management Committee headed by Governor Mamintal Adiong of Lanao del Sur,” said Jabarani. (VR/Sunnex)
