Bolante denies appointment had anything to do with Palace connection (12 p.m.)
MANILA — Former Agriculture undersecretary denied on Thursday that his appointment had any connection to his ties with First Gentleman Mike Arroyo.
This came out when Senator Jinggoy’s Estrada asked if Bolante knew anyone from Malacañang.
Bolante was appointed as the undersecretary for finance of the Department of Agriculture (DA) in 2001, shortly after President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo assumed her post. (Sunnex)
