ILOILO City Mayor Jerry Treñas is praying the economic turmoil which is presently cloaking the United States of America (USA) won't affect the flow of foreign especially American investments in Iloilo City.
According to Treñas, more investments are needed in the city in order to provide more jobs for the Ilonggos, especially the fresh graduates.

He also expressed hopes that it won't affect the City Government's goal of providing one million jobs to Ilonggos by 2010.
These are expected to come from call centers, legal offices and even medical transcription professions which are usually provided for by foreign investors coming to the city to put up their business. (EC)
