"I would like to thank everybody for the support in the project especially my brothers and sisters and my mother," Paras said.
Paras closed his welcome speech by thanking M&M Consolidated, Inc. for the opportunity of being in partnership in what he described as an ambitious project.
Set in the heart of Damilag, Manolo Fortich, Bukinon, the 81-hectare village is a joint venture of M&M Consolidated, Inc. and G&P Builders, Inc., the joint venture's marketing arm is JCA led by Edward Argayoso.
It is the then-Silver Saddle Ranch of Hans Melchior Menzi where he used to stable his 16 thoroughbred horses.
Thus, Onofre Grino, chief executive officer of M&M Consolidated, told Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro adding that the village will serve as a legacy of his long-time friend and boss Hans Menzi.
The joint venture's profit sharing, Grino said is 60 percent for G&P and 40 percent of the net profit to his company.
"All of the profit from this venture will go directly to the Menzi Scholarship Foundation. We plan to expand our scholarship trust fund," Grino said.
So make yourself at home with simplistic amenities that not just imitate, but let you experience firsthand the beauty of country living while helping poor but deserving students through the Menzi Scholarship Foundation.
