MinDA wants probe on power shortage

MINDANAO Development Authority (MinDA) chairperson Lualhati Antonino lashed out Friday at the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) on its claims that Mindanao faces shortage of power supply due to deteriorating hydro plants in the region.

Antonino said she doesn’t believe NGCP’s claim and would ask the House of Representatives to investigate.

Misamis Oriental police nab murder suspect

POLICE authorities arrested a murder suspect who allegedly killed two persons in separate incidents in Balingoan town, Misamis Oriental on Thursday.

Senior Inspector Cecilio Batobato of Balingoan Police office identified the suspect as 22-year-old Jesus E. Bagtong, a resident of Barangay Kauswagan in Balingoan town.
