Casiño said that with the affordable rate, patients can avail themselves of the most advanced mammogram technology, to support life-saving early detection, effective diagnosis, and intervention.

She stressed that this newest addition to its existing sophisticated facilities provides painless breast imaging solutions that delivers exceptional digital breast images, an extraordinary innovation poised to revolutionize how breast cancer is detected today.

She said screening mammogram usually takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes in leading laboratories where patients will get less radiation.

Casiño said the machine has ergonomic features developed to assure the well-being and comfort of the patients as compared to the traditional mammogram machines.

She added that the purpose of screening mammography is early breast cancer detection. A screening test, by definition, is used for patients without any signs or symptoms, in order to detect disease as early as possible. With referrals from specialists, women of 18 years and above must undergo mammogram, Casiño advised.

She said many studies have shown that having regular mammograms increases a woman's chances of finding breast cancer in an early stage, likely to curable.

Over the years, the COMC started its humble beginnings in April 1969, it has never stopped from providing quality healthcare services to patients attended by well-known doctors with capable nurses and more advance equipments.

COMC president and chief executive officer Rhia Rita Abalos said in more than four decades, the hospital has been extending health services having finest diagnostic and intervention solutions that patients, even from outside Cagayan de Oro, avail their services.

At present, COMC is constantly upgrading its diagnostics and hospital equipments and facilities; manpower at par with the current advancement in medical technology in order to address the need for quality health care services.

COMC is at Nacalaban-Tiano Streets, Cagayan de Oro City.
