THE Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) in Northern Mindanao, an agency conducting safety construction training to safety officers and contractors, opens doors for opportunities to interested individuals who wish to land a job abroad to avail of the training center’s module.
Engr. Alex Marlo V. Sacabon, OSCH’s training officer, said aside from their close coordination with Department of Labor and Employment (Dole) in promoting zero accident of workers while at work especially in the construction industry, the agency also extends services to those skilled workers in the overseas.
Sacabon said for only P3,500, participants would have one-time 40-hour intensive training within five days on environment safety, handling of construction machinery, excavation safety, personal protective equipment, occupational health and safety, health legislation, and safety and health practices.
Sacaban said participants are given free meals and snacks during the five-day training and a certificate of participation as their passport to fly and land a better job.
He assured that the attendees’ acquired certificates would guarantee the skilled workers to become supervisors abroad and would have a big chance to be promoted as safety officers.
Sacabon encourages interested individuals to avail themselves the OSCH’s offer citing big demand of safety officers worldwide.
