LGU Tangub estimates P270M income in 2012

TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental -- An estimated income of P270.27 million have been expected to be collected by the city government for the year 2012.
This amount is derived from estimated tax revenue of P231.88 million and operating and miscellaneous revenue of P38.39 million, Mayor Philip T. Tan said.
From this estimated income, the city has allocated P256.76 million for its operations and obligations for the entire 2012, while it sets aside a budgetary reserve of five percent in the amount of P13.51 million.
Meanwhile, of the allocated amount, P134.32 million or 52.31 percent goes to personal services (PS), P43.761 million or 17.04 percent to maintenance and other operating expenses (MOOE).
Non-office expenditures also gets an allocation of P17.24 million or 6.71 percent, statutory and contractual obligations, P59.61 million or 23.22 percent and capital outlay (CO), P1.67 million or 0.65 percent.
Tan said the highest expenditure under PS goes to salaries of employees with P59.856 million, followed by contractual services, P24.757 million, personal economic relief allowance (PERA), P12 million, life and retirement contributions of employees, P8.08 million and wages, P7.97 million.
Other allocation under PS goes to Christmas bonus with P5.61 million, honorarium, P2.77 million, cash gift of employees, P2.5 million, clothing allowance, P2.0 million, representation allowance, P1.71 million, traveling allowance, P1.68 million and productivity allowance, P1.0 million.
Under MOOE, the biggest expenditure is for electricity, P6.0 million, followed by other supplies and expenses, P5.12 million, traveling expenses, P4.94 million, maintenance of motor vehicles, P4.71 million, fuel, oil and lubricants, P3.5 million, intelligence and confidential expenses, P2.13 million, extra-ordinary and miscellaneous expenses, P1.73 million, and emergency assistance, P1.5 million.
Under CO, the highest expenditure also goes to the purchase of equipment, with P0.6 million, followed by furniture and fixtures, P0.42 million, library furniture and fixtures, P0.40 million, criminology equipment, P0.15 million and medical and dental equipment, P0.10 million. (RCA/PIA-X/PR)
