Misamis Occidental’s biggest coop nears P1B in asset-A A +A

TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental – A total asset of P926,896,211 have been recorded by the Lorenzo Tan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (LTMPC), as of December 31, last year, making it the biggest cooperative based in the province, as of the period.
The LTMPC also recorded sales of P20.9 million from five businesses of its 36 branches spread over six provinces of Mindanao, that employed 326 employees, last year, Sabiniano Canama, LTMPC General Manager, said.
Meanwhile, Luzminda L. Enomar, General Bookkeeper of LTMPC said sales from the LTMPC construction business amounted to P 4.8 million, while those of their consumer store amounted to P 8.5 million, Funicare services, P 5.4 million, real estate or subdivision, P 1.3 million, and its training center, P900,000.
Sales in construction included those of their hardware and bids for construction projects since LTMPC also builds roads and buildings, while their Funicare services include embalming, rental of funeral cars, sale of coffins/caskets and cemetery/ memorial lots.
The LTMPC consumer store at its headquarters sells goods needed by barangay residents, while it also owns a subdivision in Barangay Manga, Tangub City and a training center in Panguil Bay that accepts catering services and serves as venues for various occasions.
On the other hand, the LTMPC which started in Barangay Lorenzo Tan, Tangub City, has spread out in different areas of Regions 9 and 10, particularly in the following provinces:
Misamis Occidental, in the towns of Bonifacio, Clarin, Tudela, Jimenez, Aloran, Oroquieta City, Calamba and Plaridel, in Misamis Oriental, in the towns of Manticao and Laguindingan and El Salvador City and in Lanao del Norte, in the towns of Maranding, Maigo, Tubod, and Iligan ity.
Zamboanga del Norte, in the cities of Dipolog and Dapitan and in the towns of Sindangan, Manukan and Katipunan, in Zamboanga del Sur, in the towns of Molave, Mahayag, Dumingag, Tukuran, Aurora, Dumalinao and Pagadian City, and in Zamboanga Sibugay, in the towns of Liloy, Titay, Ipil, Imelda, Buug and Kabasalan.
