DESPITE its late entry into the local commercial scene, Shopwise, located at the 2nd level of the East Annex Building of Limketkai Mall, Limketkai Center, may be said to still have an edge over the variety of supermarkets and retailing establishments already in this city.

For one, Shopwise pioneered the concept of hypermarket in the Philippines — meaning customers can have access to a full-line supermarket, a modern wet market, and a general merchandise store in just one stop.

Products range from basic necessities, to imported brands, to items exclusively packaged for Shopwise, all of which are of good quality and guaranteed affordability for the practical buyer.

“Our reason for being is to offer our customers ‘the good life they can afford’ by helping them stretch the value of their peso so that they can live better quality lives,” said Donnie V. Tantoco, president of Rustan Supercenters, Inc., under which are Shopwise and sister company Rustan’s Supermarket, in a press statement.

Beyond auspicious prices, Shopwise also strives to provide its customers with a fast, fun, and friendly shopping experience. According to Marketing Director Aggie Artadi, they may be counted on for speedy service, as well as for creative and thematic promotions.

The Back-to-School promo, for instance, she says, begins on May 9, 2014. Customers who purchase Back-to-School items from Shopwise qualify to win one of the over 350 iTechie Tablets which are going to be given away.

Apart from that, much may be said of the physical premises which also feature, to name a few things: a variety of food kiosks, top-quality parking facilities, and a much-appreciated, clearly labeled ‘halal’ section.

Also in consideration for Shopwise buyers are the store hours, which are longer than most malls’. This means that purchases can be made earlier in the morning or later at night, good for people with either hectic schedules or emergency errands.

The good life does not have to be expensive, nor does it have to be snooty or inconvenient, and these will be proven to the practical, quality-conscious shopper who gives Shopwise a try. Its promotions and events are well worth watching out for.

Shopwise Limketkai is operated by Rustan Supercenters, Inc., a member of the International Dairy Farm Group. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Ena Jarales/ADMU Intern)
