Under the code, there would be rate adjustments on real property tax, permits and other regulatory fees, including economic enterprise and service fees.
Updates on President Benigno Aquino III's presidency
The office of the Provincial Board said there were adjustments made in 2002 but it is not comprehensive since it covers only about three provisions such as administrative fees, charges and hospital fees.
After its approval last February, the new revenue code was unveiled to the public recently at the Camiguin Convention Center, witnessed by the local chief executives and different sectoral groups.
Currently, the provincial board is prioritizing the crafting of the Camiguin Tourism Code to be able to safeguard its surrounding environment.
Other significant ordinances passed last year includes the increase on the daily wage rate, anti-smoking ordinance, regulation on the transport and extraction of quarry materials, establishment of popshop center and the regulation in the transport of flammable materials.
