THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) 10 will summon PO2 Joel Caamiño Thursday in connection with the alleged "salvage" attempt involving one of Caamiño's farm workers.
NBI Regional Director Jose Justo Yap said Caamiño will be made to appear at the NBI office to answer the accusations against him made by Victor Cabulay.

Cabulay has accused Caamiño, along with two others, of viciously beating him Monday night in Barangay Canitoan, this city.
Yap said the NBI is looking into Cabulay's complaint and wants Caamiño to explain his side as part of its routine investigation on such cases before charges are filed in court.
"We want to hear his side so mag-explain lang naman siya," Yap told Sun.Star Wednesday.
On Wednesday, Acting City Police Director Noel Armilla, of Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) had instructed P/Chief Inspector Danildo Tumanda, personnel head of the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (COCPO), to voluntarily present Caamiño at the NBI for investigation to avoid suspicion of a cover up.
Caamiño has also been restricted administrative duties and has been disarmed following a COCPO investigation.
Caamiño was formerly assigned at the City Mobile Group (CMG).
"Though we are conducting our own investigation, we leave everything to the NBI aron walay mga pagduda," Armilla said in an earlier interview.
Yap, on the other hand, said Tumanda had gone to the NBI office on Wednesday sans Caamiño to explain that the latter had nothing to do with the alleged murder attempt.
Both Caamiño and Cabulay have refrained from giving statements to the media.
