DIFFERENT meanings of love were expressed through songs when the concert king Martin Nievera and pop princess Sarah Geronimo joined voices in entertaining Kagay-anons in a concert dubbed “What Love Is: Philippine Tour” on Friday at the Atrium of Limketkai Center.
Martin and Sarah both made the audience sang in awe with their extraordinary performance of love songs in medley and some in duet.
In between jokes, Martin entertained the crowd with his song “Be My Lady,” “Forever,” “Kahit Isang Saglit,” Justin Beiber’s “Baby” in different arrangement, Gary Valenciano’s “Pasko na Sinta Ko,” “Ngayon at Kailanman,” “Somewhere Down the Road,” “Forevermore,” “Billionaire,” “Nothin’ On You” and “Just the Way You Are.”
But what wowed the audience was Martin’s rendition of the “12 Days of Christmas” with the lyrics changed with the concert’s sponsors in perfect tempo.
The pop princess also showed off why she is called as such with her rendition of “On My Own,” “California King Bed,” “Forever’s Not Enough,” “You,” “Maging Sino Ka Man” and “Because of You.”
She also sang the theme song of her latest movie with Gerald Anderson “Won’t Last A day Without You,” which will be shown on November 23, and the jingle of Aji-Ginisa, her new commercial endorsing Ajinomoto’s Ginisa Flavor Seasoning Mix.
In duet, Martin and Sarah performed in medley “Ikaw,” “Say That You Love Me,” “How Could You Say You Love Me,” “You are My Song,” “To Love You More,” “Somewhere,” “Where Is The Love,” “Time of My Life,” “Endless Love,” “Bakit Ngayon Ka Lang” and “You’re The Inspiration.”
As the crowd longed for more song, Martin and Sarah bid goodbye with their rendition of VST & Co.’s “Rock Baby Rock” and “Awitin Mo At Isasayaw Ko.”
The concert king and pop princess surely interpreted love through their songs with Louie Ocampo on the keyboard.
