THE cast of GMA Network’s latest primetime series “One True Love” took their time off to entertain their fans in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon over the weekend.
The show’s top artists, Alden Richards and Louise delos Reyes – two of the country’s bankable and promising stars of their generation, were on hand to give fun to their fans along with the show’s other cast Benjie Paras, Lucho Ayala and Agot Isidro.
The cast graced the Kapuso Barangayan shows in Barangay Puerto in Cagayan de Oro and in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.
They also had a mall show at SM City Cagayan de Oro and at the Valencia National High School and Bukidnon State University in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
The staff of Sun.Star Cagayan de Oro had a rare chance of meeting the GMA stars over lunch at Mallberry Suites where they revealed their plans and other projects.

The 19-year-old delos Reyes is a graduating student of Lyceum of the Philippines University-Cavite taking up Foreign Service.
Born Mary Grace delos Reyes Perido, she started her showbiz career when she was eight years old. Since then, she had done numerous movies and TV series, the latest of which was “My Beloved” top-billed by real life sweethearts Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera.
She is also included in the movie titled “Basement,” soon to be released.
The teen star said she is trying to enjoy her life as of the moment and “goes with the flow.”
Richards admitted that he has feelings for delos Reyes.
"To be honest ha, may malalim naman talaga akong feelings kay Louise, Hindi ko ikinaila iyon. Mabait kasi siya, malambing. Pero hindi ako nanliligaw. Focus kasi ako ngayon sa career ko. Minsan lang kasi dumating sa buhay ng artista ang mabigyan ng big break lalo na ang magiging bida sa mga primetime soap kaya mas pinokos ko siya ngayon. Kung may feelings man ako kay Louise, sa akin na lang yun,” said the 19-year-old actor.
Richards started his career at GMA when he passed the audition for “Alakdana,” which starred delos Reyes.
He also sidelined as a model.
Richard Faulkerson Jr. in real life, Richards expressed his deep gratitude to GMA for the big break and trust that the network gave to him.
Meanwhile, the 20-year-old Ayala, who played Troy in the soap series, admitted he was very happy to be included in “One True Love,” which he considered as his first big break.
A graduating student at UP Diliman, the hunk said he will prioritize his studies more than showbiz for him to have a fall back when his showbiz career is no longer that “shiny.”
“It is hard to be in showbiz at the same time studying but I will try my best to excel in both fields,” he said.
Isidro, for her part, said she was so excited to work as a villain in this new primetime teleserye.
She admitted that being a kontrabida is the most challenging role since it has many dimensions.
On the sides, Isidro said she always love Cagayan de Oro due to its serenity and natural view.
She said she often flies to the city and visit her friend, Renee Perrine, in the nearby Bukidnon.
“I plan to buy a lot in Bukidnon and stay there. I love to commune with nature,” the veteran actress said.
Paras, a former basketball star, said she is also excited to work with delos Reyes and Richards as she shared that the soap’s story is “so original that can make the viewers fall in love with the teleserye.”
He admired his co-star Ayala for prioritizing his studies and advised those newcomers to study first before doing full time in showbiz since it is the “best gift you can receive and achieve.”
“One True Love” instantly captivated the hearts of TV audience after posting high numbers during its pilot episodes last week, according to data from the industry’s widely trusted ratings service provider Nielsen TV Audience Measurement.
Based on overnight household data recorded in Mega Manila from June 11 to 15, “One True Love” scored 38.4 share points, ahead of ABS-CBN’s “Dahil Sa Pag-ibig” with 35.2 points and TV5’s “Runaway” with 10 points.
