TUBOD, Lanao del Norte -- Fun and screams filled the Mindanao Civic Center (MCC) gymnasium as Lanao del Norte launched ‘Kapamilya Day’ last July 1.
The event was one of the highlights of the two-week celebration of the province’s 53rd Charter Day.
More than 2,000 people were treated to exciting games and top-notch live entertainment by ABS-CBN’s pool of artists.
Headlining the ‘Kapamilya Day’ were talents from ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro – Bernie ‘Bitokbitok’, Bugoy, Jam, Bryan, Nicole and Maxine.
The group provided highly engaging numbers for the audience together with Lanao del Norte’s pride, Pilipinas Got Talent finalist Sherwin Baguion, Lanao del Norte National Comprehensive High School’s (LNNCHS) Wildcats cheerleaders and PGLDN band.
But the jam-packed gymnasium was filled with screams from fans when the main act of the show, Pinoy Big Brother (Season 4) grand winner Slater Young serenaded them with beautiful rendition of the songs, ‘Alipin’ and ‘Dahil Ikaw.’
“This is really exciting for me since it’s my first time to visit this beautiful province and I am amazed of how developed and peaceful Lanao del Norte is,” Slater said.
He also said he’s thankful that fans made an effort to attend the show and promised to invite his friends to come and visit Lanao del Norte.
The show organizers brought some few lucky fans to join the stars on stage for a drama showdown and some Kapamilya games – Marshmallow game, Message Relay, and Trip to Jerusalem.
Winners in the parlor games received ABS-CBN gift packs and gift certificates.
“Lanao del Norte is happy with our team-up with ABS-CBN. We are hoping to bring more exciting ABS-CBN shows and talents to our province this year and in the years to come” said Governor Khalid Dimaporo.
The highlights of the show can be seen in ABS-CBN Cagayan de Oro’s Mag-TV na, Ato Ni!, Pamahaw Espesyal and TV Patrol Northern Mindanao. (PR)
